Esta exposición se centró en unir dos partes de mármol de un retrato de Antinoo, que descubrimientos recientes revelan eran originalmente uno. Después de años de estudio cuidadoso, una colaboración internacional entre el Instituto de Arte de Chicago, el Altemps Museo Palazzo de Roma, y ​​la Universidad de Chicago, determinó que el fragmento de un retrato de Antinoo del Instituto de Arte fue originalmente la cara del busto de la del Altemps.

La pieza central de la exposición es una reconstrucción de la estatua original, que mezcla las dos partes, que muestran cómo habría aparecido la estatua en la antigüedad. El escaneado láser y la impresión tridimensional se utilizaron para producir un molde a partir del cual se creó la réplica de yeso. Este molde de yeso muy del siglo XXI, junto con las dos obras antiguas (la cara del Instituto de Arte y el busto) e información adicional, presentan historias nuevas e intrigantes en el Altemps sobre estas esculturas y el tema fascinante que representan.
